S4S Boards
MTL manufactures high quality S4S boards in Appalachian Red Oak, Poplar, Finger Joint Poplar and Hard Maple. We make boards from these species because the Oak, Poplar and Hard Maple from this area are superior in color and texture for architectural millwork and cabinetry. Our boards are also graded to meet or exceed the WCMA standards.
Middle Tennessee Lumber has set the standard for the industry in quality. Consistent quality and good color make our product stand out from the rest year after year.
FEATURES:
Our quality boards are not simply the product of the grade of hardwood lumber. Each board is inspected and defected to give the end user a full length of usable material.
- All four surfaces are moulded to a very smooth moulded finish. None of our boards are ripped, planed, or abrasively sanded.
- Each board is end trimmed to the nearest foot.
- Each package has a readable tally with all the lengths documented. Standard tallies are consistent in length structure from shipment to shipment. Custom tallies are also available, with price considerations.
- Packages are constructed for ease and convenience in warehousing and loading. Each pack has runners strapped to the bottom along with top and bottom cardboard protection as well as plastic wrap.
